The A Bloc(student restaurant) is highly accessible to many people because it is in the center of campus and close to a metro station. But the payment system interface are unnecessary complex, not even logical and not user friendly. You can find that there is long queue nomally at lunch time.
The student restaurant payment system is similar to self-checking system but staffs need to check student ID for the student discount. And the Fazer, the client, requests us to make a design solution that is not totally new.
We focused on how enhance the exprience of using the self-checking payment system for students at the A Block restaurant.

Design Process
Research
We conducted ethnography research including observation and
interview. It is to get user insights and thier perspectives and
know about their needs in a specific situation.
